The Service Materials Operator deals with the physical processing of materials through the Pink & Yellow project & supports the team delivering the project materials supply & repair obligations, while ensuring that all materials are processed in line with the agreed project processes & procedures.


This is completed in conjunction with:

Purpose of the job

  • Handling the receiving, shipping, distribution, and storage of materials.
  • Physical checking incoming goods against bills of lading, packing list and other documents.
  • Record material & Tooling transections (Goods In, Picking, Issue and Return) in a log spreadsheet following SOP/WI.
  • Work with Materials Controllers to ensure that the necessary records are maintained.
  • Take ownership for stock accuracy through Perpetual Inventory counting, stores management & stock integrity
  • Maintaining housekeeping to ensure a safe working environment for all entering the warehouse
  • Covering other materials controllers/handling officer' absence where necessary

Education

  • Graduated in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Sciences

Relevant experience required

  • 03 year working experience in related field
  • Experience in railway fields will be advantage
  • Good team player, but also able to work under own initiative
  • Selfstarter, good interpersonal skills, effective communication skills, and work well with deadline and can work overtime if required
