Responsibilities:
A. Project Safety Planning & Compliance
• Assist the Safety Officer in developing and implementing the project-specific HSE plan.
• Support the preparation of safety documents, permits, and risk assessments.
B. Construction & Installation Safety Control
• Perform daily inspections at construction zones, production line installation areas, and temporary office relocations.
• Monitor contractors' compliance with safety rules, PPE usage, and work methodologies.
• Coordinate with contractors' safety personnel and ensure all subcontractors meet site HSE requirements.
• Stop unsafe work and escalate immediately when required.
C. Risk Management & Incident Prevention
• Support the Safety Officer in identifying hazards, conducting risk assessments, and implementing corrective actions.
• Lead toolbox talks, safety briefings, and induction training for contractors and internal teams involved in the project.
• Ensure proper control of hazardous activities: lifting operations, electrical works, working at height, chemical use, and equipment commissioning.
D. Documentation & Reporting
• Maintain updated safety records for the project (inspections, incidents, near misses, training documents, weekly reports).
• Prepare safety KPIs and progress reports for the Safety Officer and project management team.
• Support internal and external HSE audits related to this project.
Qualification:
- Education: Bachelor's degree or higher in Occupational Health & Safety
- Working experience: Minimum 1-3 years in Occupational Health & Safety. And/Or experience in construction work.
Specific skill/knowledge:
Expert in Occupational Health & Safety.
Knowledge of ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 standards is an added advantage.
Knowledge and experience in construction projects will be considered an advantage.
General knowledge:
Very good computer knowledge.
Good communication skills.
Able to speak, read and write English.
