Job Description

Our client is a leading global manufacturer of automotive accessories.

Responsibilities:

• Managing all quality-related issues within the manufacturing team (e.g., internal, supplier, customer, and customer warranty).
• Managing and coordinating customer claims, customer problem solving on time, cost recovery, customer warranty, and customer quality audits.
• Identifying root causes and instigating permanent corrective actions for product quality issues.
• Working with internal and external stakeholders to resolve quality issues as quickly and efficiently as possible to prevent compromising quality and safety standards.
• Carrying out product and process auditing.
• Ensuring control plans and associated documentation are implemented effectively and maintained.
• Monitoring and reporting on quality-related key performance indicators, including scrap monitoring, rework levels, and parts per million (PPM) figures.
• Stopping production in the event of manufacturing unacceptable goods/processes.
• Ensuring compliance with and assisting with adherence to the Quality Management system (IATF 16949 / ISO9001).
• Writing product inspection/testing procedures and/or work instructions.
• Reporting on Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to ensure adherence to processes and prevent the occurrence of non-conformity relating to product, process, or system.
• Participating in cross-functional teams in the development of new products or changes related to current products, meeting customer requirements.
• Participating in the development and refinement of Process FMEAs (Failure Mode and Effects Analysis).
• Quality controlling work through appropriate reviews.
• Producing written reports and making presentations.
• Independently determining approach and assigned tasks.
• Drawing on prior experience as a Quality Manager in a production processing environment.
• Being familiar with company and industry quality standards and processes.
• Possessing strong knowledge of IATF 16949 and VDA requirements.
• Applying strong knowledge of core tools (APQP, FMEA, PPAP, SPC, and MSA).
• Understanding ISO 14001 and Health and Safety Practices.
• Knowledge of measurement systems.
• Demonstrating the ability to work in a diverse and dynamic environment.
• Presenting data effectively.
• Applying problem-solving skills / Six Sigma methodologies.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or higher in an Engineering field.
• At least 7 years of work experience as a Quality Manager in the automotive industry.
• Experience in the European automotive manufacturing industry is an advantage.
• A solid background in IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and VDA 6.3 Process Audit Certification is an advantage.
• Experience in working across multiple time zones with a global workforce.
