- Analyze market trends and pricing data to make informed decisions and recommendations regarding supplier selection.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential suppliers to foster long-term partnerships.
- Conduct supplier evaluations and performance reviews to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms and quality standards.
- Stay updated on industry developments, supplier capabilities, and market dynamics to identify new sourcing opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Monitor and track supplier performance, including delivery times, product quality, and customer service, and take corrective actions as needed.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records, reports, and documentation related to sourcing activities and supplier agreements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes, optimize efficiencies, and drive continuous improvement in sourcing operations.
- Proven experience as a Sourcing Agent, Purchasing Agent, or similar role, with a strong background in negotiating prices and contracts.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Solid understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management principles, and vendor management best practices.
- Ability to analyze data, identify cost-saving opportunities, and make data-driven decisions.
- Knowledge of the logistics sector in the US will be a big plus
- Proficiency in using sourcing tools, procurement software, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Self-motivated and results-oriented, with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
