About the Supply Team

This role sits within Agoda's Supply organization (800+ globally), the commercial engine of the company. Supply partners closely with hotels, airlines, and travel providers to drive growth, revenue, and competitiveness through centralized programs, data‑driven strategies, and scalable execution.

You will join the Programs function under Supply, responsible for building cross‑market, centralized initiatives that protect Agoda's competitive position across Asia.

Role Overview

As Director, Programs (Competitor Defense), you will own Agoda Supply's centralized competitor defense strategy across multiple markets. This is a high‑impact, senior leadership role responsible for turning complex competitive signals into structured programs, measurable outcomes, and executive‑level insights.

You will design, scale, and operate defense programs that respond to competitor moves (pricing, incentives, partner behavior, market dynamics), working closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, and Regional Supply leaders to drive unified execution.

This role requires strong strategic judgment, deep analytical capability, comfort with ambiguity, and the ability to influence at SVP/C‑level.

What You'll Do: 

Lead Centralized Competitor Defense Programs

• Design and own Agoda Supply's competitor defense framework across markets
• Translate market intelligence, partner signals, and competitive moves into structured defense initiatives
• Define clear objectives, KPIs, and decision principles for defense programs

Market Intelligence & Strategic Insight

• Partner closely with Supply Analytics and Data teams to monitor market trends, competitor behavior, and performance signals
• Build and review dashboards and exec‑ready insights to support leadership decisions
• Synthesize complex data into clear narratives and recommendations for senior stakeholders

Program Design, Execution & Scaling

• Incubate, pilot, and scale defense programs across regions
• Own end‑to‑end program lifecycle: concept → pilot → rollout → optimization → sunset
• Ensure programs are operationally scalable, measurable, and commercially impactful

Cross‑Functional Leadership

• Work closely with Product, Marketing, Analytics, Supply Ops, and Regional teams to ensure aligned execution
• Influence without authority and navigate trade‑offs across global and local priorities
• Act as a central point of coordination for defense‑related initiatives

Portfolio Governance & Optimization

• Evaluate effectiveness of existing programs and make data‑driven recommendations to continue, adapt, or sunset
• Ensure focus on initiatives that deliver clear ROI, partner impact, and competitive advantage

Team Leadership

• Manage and develop a small but high‑leverage team
• Coach analytical and strategic thinking, not just execution

What We're Looking For

This role is best suited for candidates with experience in competitive strategy, analytics‑driven programs, and complex stakeholder environments.

Required

• 9+ years of experience in strategy, program management, corporate strategy, analytics, consulting, or similar roles within tech, travel, marketplaces, or high‑growth digital companies
• Proven experience designing and leading cross‑market or centralized initiatives
• Strong analytical skills with hands‑on experience using data to drive decisions
• Comfortable building dashboards, metrics, and executive‑level reporting
• Excellent stakeholder management and executive communication skills
• Demonstrated ability to operate in fast‑moving, ambiguous, competitive environments
• Proficiency in English
• Strong working knowledge of SQL, Tableau, and advanced Excel

Nice to Have

• Experience in online marketplaces, travel, e‑commerce, or pricing/competition‑heavy domains
• Prior people management experience
• MBA or advanced degree
