Purpose of the Role :

The Senior IT Manager oversees the planning, execution, and support of IT infrastructure, venue systems, and digital technologies for UOB Live. The role ensures that technology supports smooth event operations, ticketing platforms, customer service, and internal processes. This includes real-time system reliability, cybersecurity, and the implementation of innovations that elevate guest experience and business efficiency. The role also serves as a strategic technology advisor to senior management, supporting decision-making aligned with business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

IT Strategy & Event Technology Planning

• Develop IT strategies that align with UOB Live's operational needs, guest experience goals, and business growth.
• Plan and implement venue-specific technology systems including digital ticketing, event control systems, and audio-visual tech integration.
• Support IT planning for concerts, exhibitions, and large-scale events. Venue Infrastructure & Systems Management
• Maintain and oversee IT infrastructure across the venue (Wi-Fi, servers, network zones, POS, Digital Signage, LED Façade, Broadcast Fiber, ticketing kiosks, access control).
• Ensure system uptime during live events and readiness for high-traffic operations.
• Manage software and systems used for operations, FOH, and BOH coordination.
• Oversee hybrid environment: on-prem server rooms, Azure / Microsoft 365, Fortinet SD-WAN, Wi-Fi, fiber backhaul.
• BCP / Disaster-Recovery plans, annual failover test.
• Establish monitoring dashboards (SNMP, NetFlow, log analytics) with SLA alerts.
• Manage lifecycle of hardware, Software, OS, and SaaS licenses. Cybersecurity & Guest Data Protection
• Enforce cybersecurity standards and protect sensitive customers and event data.
• Implement GDPR- or PDPA-compliant processes, backup systems, and security audits.
• Mitigate risks for cashless payment systems, data integrations, and cloud storage.
• Lead incident response planning and execution for cybersecurity breaches, including containment, investigation, reporting, and recovery, following IT SOP and ISO/PDPA standards.
• Perform root cause analysis and coordinate with vendors to ensure timely remediation and long-term risk mitigation.
• Develop and maintain vendor cybersecurity risk assessments and require compliance with venue's data protection and system access policies.
• Establish log monitoring and real-time alerting systems for digital signage, and LED façade. ● Conduct regular cybersecurity drills and failover tests simulating breach scenarios.

Live Support & Service Delivery

• Lead technical readiness and standby support during live events.
• Oversee IT helpdesk services and provide second-level support when required.
• Monitor event-related system issues and troubleshoot in real time. Innovation & Digital Enhancement
• Introduce new technologies to improve audience experience (e.g., e-ticketing, mobile check-ins, real-time communication apps).
• Work with commercial and operations teams to streamline digital guest journeys.
• Research industry trends to recommend digital enhancements for venues. Policy, Compliance & Team Management
• Develop IT policies aligned with venue operation standards and data compliance.
• Supervise and guide IT team performance, training, and event-specific technical setup.
• Manage vendor contracts and ensure SLA performance during event and non-event periods.
• Develop and continuously update incident response playbooks and breach notification protocols aligned with Thai regulations.
• Ensure team readiness for handling zero-day threats, ransomware, and unauthorized digital content injection incidents.
• Coordinate with Compliance and Management in preparing official statements or notifications in case of data breach.

Budget, Vendor & Stakeholder Management

• Annual IT OPEX/CAPEX.
• Negotiate contracts (ISPs, SaaS), ensure vendor performance.
• Communicate complex tech topics to non-technical stakeholders (GM, CFO and Head of Compliance and Business Services).
• Plan annual IT budgets with a focus on cost-efficiency aligning with company business goals. Stakeholder Communication
• Translate technical concepts into business impact for leadership audiences.
• Create executive dashboards and present insights to inform strategic decisions.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Engineering, or related field
• 7+ years of experience in IT operations; 2+ years in event/venue tech preferred
• Knowledge of event technology (ticketing systems, AV integration, access control)
• Strong background in infrastructure, networks, and IT project management
• Excellent communication skills, adaptability in live event environments
• Thai & English language proficiency required
• Networking (CCNP-level), Microsoft 365/Azure admin, Fortinet firewall & SD-WAN, POS integrations, project management.

Certifications (advantage):

• PMP, ITIL 4, Microsoft Azure Administrator (AZ-104) or MS-900
• Fortinet NSE 4 or above, CCNA, P D PA / G D P R
