- Provide consultation on all legal and integrity matters to facilitate the business operations and to support the growth of the business.
- Offer clear and concise legal advice and counsel to management and oversee domestic legal matter.
- Drive and ensure consistency in legal services and advice in Thailand.
- Act as an Advisor to the Country Manager as well as Regional Legal Counsel.
- Draft, review and revise contracts.
- Update and lead implementation of legal policies, directives, instructions, local laws and regulations within Thailand.
- Ensure legal policies, procedures, processes and recommend the best practices to promote compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Support Local Business Unit Managers in the implementation of the groups policies and provide advice and guidance on all contractual matters arising from sales and projects.
- Facilitate corporate legal maintenance and company registration/updates.
- Coordinate with external legal services provider on litigation and contractual matters.
- Communicate with external and internal legal networks on legal matters.
- Optimise the costs of external legal costs by handling all legal advice/opinions needed by the businesses and negotiating external lawyers fees in cases where outsourcing is needed.
- Identify legal issues of concern to management and proactively develop effective legal strategies and practical solutions.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Law.
- 6-8 years of experience in Legal Department of multinational companies or at Law Firms
- Excellent English skills
- Background from Retail or Manufacturing industry is preferred
- Lawyer's licence or admission to Thai Bar is not required but may be advantageous
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work independently
