Job Purpose

The Project Engineer (Brownfield) is responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing brownfield modification projects within operating oil & gas facilities.

The role ensures safe, cost-effective, and timely delivery of project scope while managing technical interfaces between engineering disciplines, operations, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities

Project Execution (EPCI Phase): Support the end-to-end execution from FEED handover through detailed engineering, procurement, fabrication, offshore installation, and commissioning.

Offshore Brownfield Modifications:

Manage offshore tie-ins, equipment upgrades, and structural modifications on live platforms, ensuring strict compliance with safety requirements and SIMOPS (Simultaneous Operations) constraints.

Engineering & Technical Coordination:
Coordinate multi-discipline engineering teams (Process, Mechanical, Piping, Structural, E&I) and manage Technical Queries (TQs) and design changes.

Interface Management:
Serve as the primary point of contact between the Client, Operations, Fabrication Yard, and Offshore Installation teams.

Cost & Schedule Control:
Track engineering man-hours and construction progress. Support change order evaluations and ensure milestones are achieved within budget.
Qualifications & Requirements

Education:
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Electrical, Civil, or related fields).

Experience:
* 5–10 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects.
Minimum 5 years of direct experience in Offshore Brownfield projects under EPCI contracts.
Proven experience in live platform modifications and shutdown execution is highly preferred.

Language Skills:
Excellent communication skills in both spoken and written Thai and English.

Technical Skills:
Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Project.

Specific Knowledge:

Familiar with international codes and standards (API, ASME, IEC, DNV, etc.).

Strong knowledge of offshore construction and SIMOPS.
Excellent problem-solving skills under tight offshore schedules.
Working Environment

Base Office:
Bangkok, Thailand.

Occasional travel to fabrication yards or offshore sites as required by the project.
