- Lead and manage the compliance team that support various products e.g., e-payment platform, e-lending, and/or insurance brokerage services.
- Create, assess, and uphold compliance policies and directives to satisfy regulatory prerequisites.
- Offer guidance and evaluate the influence of novel regulations on the business, devising suitable compliance approaches, involving suggestion of mitigation measures and overseeing their effective execution. mitigation recommendation and follow up the appropriate implementation.
- Act as advisor for internal teams for regulatory-related matters.
- Review documents before submission to regulators, e.g., BOT, AMLO, OIC.
- Handle complaint cases and any requests from regulators.
- Liaise with both regulators and other departments on compliance related matters.
- Coordinate and follow up with the responsible units for information and documents requested by regulators.
- Fulfil regulatory reporting obligations complying with relevant laws and regulations.
- Monitor all related laws and regulations.
- Conduct compliance training for staff members, management, and other related stakeholders.
- Bachelor of Laws or higher, e.g., LLM, JD.
- Over 5 years' experience in Legal, Banking Compliance, Financial Regulatory Compliance.
- Experience managing a team of over 2-3 subordinates is required.
- Strong expertise in specific laws and regulations applicable to financial sectors (e.g., BOT, OIC, or AMLO)
- Robust analytical and problem-solving experience on legal and compliance matters.
- Excellent English language skills (IELTS 6.0, TOEIC 700)
- Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with regulators and internal stakeholders.
