General Purpose of the Position:

The IT Infrastructure Supervisor plays a pivotal role in managing a team that designs and engineers IT infrastructure according to company's strategy.

The IT Infrastructure Supervisor works closely with the Head of Network and IT Infrastructure and must have strong working knowledge of IT architecture, solutions and best practices.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

This position carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.

Supervisory responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

training and mentoring employees; planning, assigning, delegating and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; and resolving employee issues.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Supervise staff of highly technical individuals that design, build, test, deploy IT infrastructure in Datacenter environments.
Help to create strategies to develop / improve services and operational processes
Assign work and ensure that resources are being utilized efficiently and appropriately for the timely completion of tasks and projects
Assist with the hiring, training, mentoring, coaching, and corrective counseling of the IT Infrastructure engineer staff
Lead IT projects and effectively meet deadlines with minimum supervision
Engage in ongoing research of emerging trends and new technologies, which may benefit the project goal of strategically implementing technology to enhance or solve project problems
Identify architecture solutions (onprem/hybrid/cloud) to successfully meet the strategic needs of the customer
Conduct indepth technical reviews of new and existing IT systems in order to identify the appropriate strategies required to bring these systems into compliance with established policy and industry guidelines
Automate reporting processes, technical processes and data aggregation where appropriate

Other Duties:

Mentorship/Training of junior staff
A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected
Technical consultation with both internal and external clients
Other duties assigned

Required Job Skills:

Able to read, write and communicate well in English
Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Must be able to accurately communicate complex issues using easy to understand terminology
Proven selfmanagement and teammanagement skills
Ability to manage technical projects based on client's requirements
A solid understanding of business cases and risk management processes
Must be customerfocused and intent upon providing quality product / service for the business client
Good knowledge of IT infrastructure design. Managing solutions and framworks
Good understanding of LAN/WAN networking (TCP/IP)
Demonstrated knowledge of virtualized infrastructure
Demonstrated knowledge of Cloud technologies
Experience with one or more of the following security technologies: firewalls, Network Intrusion Detection Systems, Vulnerability Scanners, Virtual Private Networking, virus protection technologies, Log Management, network access control, proxy server and data loss prevention
Experience with Infrastructure automation (Terraform, Ansible, etc), CI/CD pipelines (GIT, Jenkins, etc), and configuration management tools (Ansible, Chef etc)
Knowledge on regulations, requirements, guidelines, and industry standards on Information Security and Datacenter

Computer Equipment and Software:

Project / Task management platforms
Network & Network security appliances / cloudbased
Servers & Storages appliances / cloudbased
Compliance assessment / analysis software
DevOps tools
Common enterprise software and services such as MS365, AD, Telephony systems, etc.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor degree in, Computer Science, Computer Information System, IT management
5+ years of experience in IT infrastructure solution design and engineering
2+ years in a technical team leadership role
IT related Certifications
