Job summary:
We are looking for a Data Center Facilities Technician to join our team at Google. As an advocate for best practices, you will develop creative approaches to reducing operational costs while improving overall data center efficiency.In this role, you will operate, monitor and support physical facilities conditions for our data centers. You will ensure site uptime by operating maintaining and fixing mechanical equipment while tracking performance trends to catch issues early.
- Solve technical problems by identifying root causes and preparing operating procedures to prevent future failures.
- Lead the startup integration of new equipment into the facility infrastructure and coordinate vendor support.
- Drive efficiency by monitoring power water usage (PUE/WUE) to reduce environmental impact while maintaining strict safety compliance.
