Job summary
The Shipyard Health & Safety Officer is responsible for managing and continuously improving all health safety environmental and compliance aspects of the company s operations ensuring full compliance with statutory company and third party requirements.The role coordinates safety matters in line with company policy monitors compliance investigates and reports incidents reviews risk assessments and safe systems of work liaises with client safety representatives.
Maintaining developing Integrated Management System IMS conducting audits managing risk COSHH databases delivering inductions briefings updating management on legislative changes promoting strong safety culture continual improvement.
- Qualifications NEBOSH or Equivalent Qualification in Health & Safety Shipyard experience HSE Manager will be a distinct advantage Working knowledge ISO 45001 Five years experience knowledge current health safety environmental legislation Benefits 2 days off/week Work real shipbuilding marine engineering projects not desk only roles Part professional experienced supportive team Opportunity grow expanding shipyard long term projects Hands on exposure across shipyard operations fabrication marine systems Stable work environment clear roles responsibilities
