Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain REST APIs for business customers and their subscribers
Build and manage a persistent websocket service for low latency messaging
Create microservices for push notifications, messaging, analytics, and other core business features
Help build a scalable, maintainable, and secure system
Write extensive tests and documentation for reliable features
Conduct load tests and monitoring for optimal performance under load conditions
Requirements:
5+ years of professional software engineering experience
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (or foreign equivalent)
Deep experience in with ES6 features
Proficient understanding of AWS (especially Aurora, DynamoDB and LAMBDA)
Thorough understanding of MongoDB
Thorough understanding of how to make a secure Web API
Deep DevOps experience using continuous integration with Travis (or equivalent) Devops + K8 + dockert
Experience working with a microservice architecture
Experience building scalable systems
