This role is the vital link between commercial strategy and data innovation. You will work closely with multiple commercial functions, seeing your data products turn into insights—and insights turn into actions that shape real outcomes.

You will help us continue to develop, implement, and refine how we work with the evolving world of data, ensuring our commercial organization stays ahead of the curve.

Role Overview

We are seeking a Data Solutions Manager who will play a dual role within our commercial data team:

1. Lead and manage data projects and products from concept to delivery.
2. Independently build and deliver data solutions that drive actionable insights and business impact.

This position is ideal for someone who combines strategic thinking with hands-on technical expertise, ensuring data products meet business needs while maintaining high standards of quality and scalability.

Key Responsibilities

• Project & Product Management
  • Define and prioritize data product roadmaps aligned with commercial objectives.
  • Manage end-to-end project lifecycle: requirements gathering, planning, execution, and stakeholder communication.
  • Ensure timely delivery of data initiatives within scope and budget.
• Hands-On Data Development
  • Design, build, and deploy data products (dashboards, reports, data models, APIs).
  • Work with large datasets to create scalable and efficient solutions.
  • Implement best practices for data governance, quality, and security.
• Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with commercial teams to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
  • Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and business users to ensure seamless integration and adoption.
• Continuous Improvement
  • Monitor performance of data products and identify opportunities for enhancement.
  • Stay updated on emerging technologies and trends in data analytics and product management.

Qualifications

Experience:

• 5+ years in data product management or data project management within a commercial or analytics-focused environment.
• Proven ability to deliver data products independently (e.g., dashboards, ETL pipelines, APIs).
• Strong track record of managing end-to-end data projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Technical Skills:

• SQL & Data Modelling: Proficiency in writing complex queries and designing efficient data models.
• Cloud Platforms: Hands-on experience with major cloud environments such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Microsoft Azure, or AWS for data storage, processing, and deployment.
• Business Intelligence Tools: Familiarity with BI tools like Power BI, Looker, or similar for visualization and reporting.
• Programming for Data: Working knowledge of Python or R for data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks.

Soft Skills:

• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to balance strategic priorities with hands-on execution.
• Innovative mindset with a passion for turning data into actionable insights.

Education:

• Bachelor's or master's degree in data science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
