Marlon Jay-r Cario

I have a bachelor's degree in Physical Education and just finished my master’s with an emphasis on “International Education Program” at Framingham State University 

I am certified by the South East Asian Swimming Coach and Teachers Association (SEASCTA) in Learn to Swim Level and certified by the Australian Swimming Coaches and Teachers Association (ASCTA) in coaching Teacher of Competitive swimming, learn to swim teacher (Swim Australia Teacher), and babies/toddlers’ teacher.

During my college days I was a member of a Swimming Team and earned a scholarship based on my swimming skills and now that I no longer compete, I am now pursuing a career as a coach. I have extensive knowledge of swimming techniques used in competitions and I know how to perform them properly and increase speed time, giving me the perfect tools to instill and my students to become great swimmers.

I have the experience, skills and ability to recruit new swimmers, set up schedules for swim meets, conduct practice sessions and make sure swimmers have the supplies and equipment they need for peak performances. I have the ability to keep excellent records of everyone on the team.

Being a former competitive swimmer, I have lots of patience and I’m very compassionate towards others; however, I also know when to push to provide the swimmers with the inspiration they need to do their very best. I am very observant with the ability to help swimmers develop their form until they can do each technique properly.

I am familiar with all safety rules and emergency procedures associated with swimming. I also know and adhere to the rules and regulations that pertain to swimming competitions and I believe in teaching my squad the importance of practicing good sportsmanship and working as a team.

I am currently teaching at Kids Academy International School as a PE teacher, inclusive of swimming classes and ECAs and I am running a swimming club “Strokes and kicks swimming Bangkok” and  a former part time swimming coach at Lets Asia International Swimming School. 

I worked in a Montessori International Pre-school teaching PE and swimming (UK curriculum), two and a half years Swimming teacher for students from Nursery to Grade 2, and currently working in Kids Academy International School for students from nursery to Year 6 (UK curriculum).

Bachelor in Education major in PE and Health, MAEd in International Education Program.
