I am from England and am interested in learning more about all types of different people. I like to talk to people from loads of different backgrounds and learn how to make them smile. I have been teaching English for one year and I am excited to keep doing so.
ประสบการณ์
Benchama Maharat School – English Teacher
Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand October 2023 – Present
Working here I have been able to create lesson plans for children between the ages of 12 and 17. I am teaching students up to a B2+ level of English with class sizes of up to 30 students. Doing this has allowed me to be able to go into more detail with grammar and other aspects of English. I would also write tests and midterms to test the knowledge of my students and know what I need to focus on for their understanding.
Anuban Nakhon Pathom School – English Teacher Intern
Nakhon Pathom, Thailand May 2023 – August 2023
Whilst I was here, I would create lesson plans and teach children aged 9-10. I would also mark their work and adapting my future lessons to ensure that they would understand the content properly. I have learned more about behaviour management in bigger groups as the class sizes were between 20 and 25 students. It also improved the way I teach to be more interactive with larger groups rather than groups of less than 10.
Explore Learning – English and Maths Tutor
Hampton January 2023 - May 2023
Here I have learned how to adapt to different situations by teaching different ages of children aged from 4-14. For this it’s about changing the language I use to match the level and understanding of the child as well as ensuring that they are stimulated the entire time to learn and have a good experience with it. It has also helped me to learn about ways to deal with different behaviour coming from students as they all act differently and how to best help them.
